If you were visiting for the first time as a tourist, we would recommend a stay in one of the beach cottages overlooking the stunning natural area. First Landing State Park

First Landing State Park was the first planned state park in the State of Virginia. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the Seashore State Park Historic District. It is located near the site of the first landing of the Virginia Company colonists before they established Jamestown. It features over 19 miles of trails for both biking and hiking. You can also enjoy a stay in cabins in the park, as well as swimming at a public beach, and fishing too.

Bayside Rec Center

There are days when temperatures will rise and a swim in an indoor pool becomes an excellent way to cool down. Bayside Rec Center is the perfect choice for this. This 83,931-sq-ft facility offers an indoor double gym, racquetball courts, an ADA-approved pool with lap lanes and a diving board, and tennis courts. The full-service fitness center has group fitness classes and personal trainers available. There’s also billiards for the adults and an indoor play structure for the kids.

Bayville Golf Club

The Bayville Golf Club is a local favorite, and the closest to Chic’s Beach, Virginia Beach area. It’s one of the most loved private clubs in the region.
