It’s a peaceful and safe neighborhood, ideal for those who want to be within distance to the military bases, not too far from the beach, and with good access to the local highways. There are plenty of things to do in Green Run that keep you busy, such as shopping or heading to the restaurants. Yet, it is not an overly commercialized location nor a tourism area.

You’ll find that this HOA offers numerous benefits, including three different pools and open spaces for events. While Green Run is only a short drive to the oceanfront (about 20 minutes in good traffic) and about 12 minutes to Town Center shopping, there are a few great things to do in Green Run even closer to home. Green Run Clubhouse
Many of the HOAs in the city of Virginia Beach offer a resident clubhouse, and that is no different here. Green Run’s is a modern and well-maintained amenity. A visit to Taqueria La Patrona is always festive, especially if you’re enjoying the hand-crafted margaritas here. Located on nearby Lynnhaven Parkway, you’ll find freshly made dishes with authentic flavor and spice. This is one of the best restaurants in Green Run for fast, affordable, but really good Mexican food. The birria tacos are the best in the city.
Sakura Sushi - Sushi – 4.3 Stars - $$
For Asian cuisine, one of the best restaurants in Green Run is Sakura Sushi, an eastern-style order-as-you-go buffet. This authentic Japanese restaurant is in the Salem Woods Neighborhood Park area but close enough to Green Run to make it a weekly destination. The food is fresh and made of the highest quality. At Charcoal Chicken, you can stop in for a filling meal. It is also one of the newest restaurants in Green Run, and perfect for for take-out. You’ll love the fresh chicken, prepared in various ways. And, if you’re hosting an event, they are also excellent when it comes to full catering service.
Jose Tequilas – Mexican – 4.6 Stars - $$
Jose Tequilas is a family-owned and operated Mexican restaurant known for its vibrant flavors. The menu is huge, with all of your favorites on it and then some. The made-to-order guacamole and the signature drinks – like the El Canelo and Jose’s Mint Lemonade (that’s not for your kids!) – are excellent choices.

The closest larger shopping center is the Lynnhaven Mall, which is about 2 miles away, or the Lynnhaven Shopping Center.
