Life in Town Center: Community Overview

own Center is a year-round hub for everything. Numerous companies have offices within the community. The central business district is also home to hotels, shops, and restaurants. Town Center, Virginia Beach, is also a hub for high-end living with modern, luxury apartments and homes. As one of the best neighborhoods in Virginia Beach for those looking for an eclectic vibe, where you can see a live band or theater performance one day and hang out with the family at one of the locally sponsored events the next, Town Center truly is special.

As you consider the things to do in Town Center, there’s plenty of variety here. Luxury shopping, a vibrant restaurant scene, and a fun comedy club are just the start of it. This downtown area is easy to get to with just a short 15-to-20-minute ride to the oceanfront or the Norfolk International Airport. The Town Center, Virginia Beach neighborhood is one of the “newer” areas, with consistent growth in population, business, and recreation since the early 2000s. That means it’s easy to find homes here, though much of the area is also dotted with high-rise buildings.

Town Center is so interesting because it was designed to create a more modern lifestyle for this traditionally suburban area. Pembroke, which was the name of the surrounding area prior to the development of Town Center, was much older and, in some areas, quite dated. Town Center isn’t like the oceanfront either. It’s less tourism-focused and more lifestyle-centric. Everything you need to enjoy life here and explore its amenities is generally within walking distance. As you discover the homes for sale in Town Center, you’ll find a lot of demand and a huge range in style, features, and amenities. That’s all a part of what makes Town Center truly unique.
