First Landing State Park

First Landing State Park was the first planned state park in the State of Virginia. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the Seashore State Park Historic District. Bayside Rec Center

There are days when temperatures will rise and a swim in an indoor pool becomes an excellent way to cool down. Bayside Rec Center is the perfect choice for this. This 83,931-sq-ft facility offers an indoor double gym, racquetball courts, an ADA-approved pool with lap lanes and a diving board, and tennis courts. The full-service fitness center has group fitness classes and personal trainers available. There’s also billiards for the adults and an indoor play structure for the kids.

Bayville Golf Club

Chic’s Beach sits on the Chesapeake Bay beside the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Its formal name is Chesapeake Beach. The neighborhood runs along the bay on both sides of the CBBT approach, with Shore Drive as its southern edge and the Lesner Bridge over Lynnhaven Inlet at its east end. From I-64, Northampton Boulevard runs north and you’ll peel off onto Shore Drive east before the toll plaza. From the Oceanfront, Great Neck Road dead-ends at Shore Drive, and that’s your road west into Chic’s Beach.

Is Chic's Beach a public beach?

Yes. The sand along Chic’s Beach, Virginia Beach is open to the public, and you’ll reach it through street ends off Ocean View Avenue and Lookout Road rather than through a park gate. There’s no admission and no fence. What isn’t public is the ground between the houses. Use a marked street end (Fentress Avenue and Seaview Avenue are two) and not a worn path across somebody’s dune. That’s the whole rule, and it’s posted at most openings.
